2069: Lian still loves Taron from her home in the stars.
At the end of the hologram message Lian tells Taron that she will always remember and love him, and that he need not feel any guilt or remorse over the death of Mars; Humans fear what they do not understand, and the Martians had evolved beyond anything that Earth could relate to. Finally, she asks him to keep the message secret and to think of her whenever he looks to the stars. The recording ends, the video winks out, and Taron is left in darkness.
